On March 11, 1951, Nhan Dan, the mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the then Labor Party of Vietnam, now the Communist Party of Vietnam, rolled out its first issue.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the agency, the Department General of Posts and Telecommunications (DGPT) issues a special stamp set entitled 50th anniversary of Nhan Dan newspaper's first issue (March 11, 1951 - March 11, 2001).
The one-model set valued at VND400, bears the images of the first Nhan Dan newspaper issue dated March 11, 1951 and of the Co giai phong (Liberation flag) and Su that (Truth) which were the two forerunners of Nhan Dan newspaper.
